What Can Audi Drivers Expect From This Collaboration?
- New myAudi smarphone app will use HERE® navigation tech to synchronize navigation destinations and favorites between with your vehicle by using the cloud. This means you can start your search from your smartphone and receive the directions inside your Audi A8.
- The advanced hybrid navigation system performs the route calculation mostly on HERE®'s servers; it's able to account for regional traffic, with frequent updates, and data is transferred using the fastest mobile communication standards.
- In the future, Audi and HERE® will team up to work on car-to-X services, like traffic sign and hazard information.
- HERE®'s HD Live Map, one of the company's main projects, provides the digital basis for the coming wave of piloted driving. This technology is still waiting in the wings, but the new Audi A8 has already been prepped to receive it when available.
