Audi RS 3 Wins 2018 Car and Driver “10Best Car of the Year” Award

No Stranger to Awards, The Audi Lineup Nets Another: Audi RS 3 Nabs a Car and Driver 2018 “10Best Car of the Year” Award

At the this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show, the all-new Audi RS 3 Sedan earned itself a 2018 Car and Driver “10Best Car of the Year” award, which is no small feat. The newest model to come out of Audi Sport is already proving its salt, offering incredible performance paired with everyday usability—a rare combination in a sport sedan.

Putting the Spotlight on the All-New Audi RS 3 Sedan:

The newest member out of Audi Sport (Audi’s Motorsports division), the 2018 Audi RS 3 Sedan is small in size but big on performance; here are some of the factors that make the 2018 Audi RS 3 worthwhile:

  • The 2018 Audi RS 3 Sedan is powered by an all-aluminum TFSI® turbocharged five-cylinder paired to a seven-speed S tronic® dual-clutch transmission, the marriage of which sends out 354 pound-feet of torque, sending the vehicle from 0 – 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds.
  • Performance vehicle it may be, the RS 3 also features some available tech goodies found in the A3 lineup, like Audi Virtual Cockpit, Audi connect®, MMI® touch®, and standard Audi smartphone interface (Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™).
  • Fine Nappa leather S sport front seats with diamond contrast stitching with an RS-embossed section come standard.

“The ride is the only aspect of the RS 3 that is forgiving. The car’s structure is unyielding,” noted Car and Drive editors. “The body is so stout, if you hit a pothole, you feel bad for the pothole. If the RS3 were a professional boxer, it’d be nicknamed the Ingot from Ingolstadt.” —from a November 29, 2017 Audi of America Press Release
